College of Registered Nurses Issues Information to RNs and Public on COVID-19

The College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador in partnership with The Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health and the Department of Health and Community Services is ensuring information is passed along to RNs and members of the public regarding COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus).

  • Today, the College distributed a memo to NPs received from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health. The subject of this memo provides an update to health care professionals on COVID-19. This memo can be found HERE.
  • Public health officials in Newfoundland and Labrador, in conjunction with the Public Health Agency of Canada officials, have been closely monitoring the virus. An informative web resource has been developed for the public providing up-to-date information with answers to many FAQs. This web resource can be found HERE.
  • For the most up-to-date information related to confirmed cases in our province and/or across the country, please visit Health Canada by clicking HERE.

“At this time, assessment of overall public health risk to Canadians remains low. The College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador is working closely with officials to ensure that registrants and the public have access to timely and factual information with respect to COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus)”.
