ARNNL Seeks Public Volunteers to Serve on Quality Assurance Committee

The Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (ARNNL) is the regulatory body and professional organization for all registered nurses (RN) and nurse practitioners (NPs) in the province.  ARNNL is currently looking for three public representatives to serve on ARNNL’s Quality Assurance Committee.

National Immunization Awareness Week

With the re-emergence of measles in several Canadian communities, it is more important than ever to get the facts about immunization.  Diseases such as this are highly contagious and can lead to serious health problems, permanent disability, and even death.  Vaccination is still the best way to prevent such diseases; in addition it helps protect those around us who may have compromised immune systems and are not able to receive the vaccine.   

ARNNL Undertaking an Evaluation of the Nurse Practitioner Role in Newfoundland and Labrador

The Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (ARNNL) is undertaking a comprehensive evaluation of the role of the Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Newfoundland and Labrador. A consultant, The Institute for the Advancement of Public Policy, Inc (Consultant), is carrying out the evaluation on behalf of ARNNL. The team members are Colleen Hanrahan, Christine Way, and Kathy Watkins.

Memorial University's Board of Regents: Call for Nominations

In the coming weeks, the Memorial University alumni body will elect six individuals from among its ranks to sit on the Board of Regents, Memorial’s governing body. The call for nominations to run in the election has been issued and the deadline to apply is Friday, March 31, 2017 at 5 p.m. (NST).

This unique volunteer opportunity is open to all Memorial University alumni.
